Lord Jeremy Purvis of Tweed is a highly respected figure in British politics, known for his contributions to international trade and economic policy.

A life peer in the House of Lords, Jeremy has been a consistent voice advocating for transparency and accountability in the UK’s post-Brexit trade deals, often highlighting the need for fairer agreements that benefit both the UK and its global partners.

Jeremy has a long history of public service, having served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Scottish Borders from 2003 to 2011. In this role, he was the Scottish Liberal Democrats’ spokesperson on economy and finance and played a key role in shaping policy at both the Scottish and UK levels. His deep commitment to parliamentary reform led to his appointment as a member of the Commission on Parliamentary Reform in 2016.

Jeremy’s dedication to humanitarian causes and his commitment to international solidarity make him a natural fit for the DNLA Ambassador role. He joins DNLA to amplify its mission of supporting Ukraine through impactful storytelling and global advocacy. His belief in the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people aligns with DNLA’s mission of promoting Ukraine’s path to a vibrant democracy in the face of conflict.

We are honoured to welcome Jeremy to the DNLA team, where his expertise and advocacy will further our goal of fostering global support for Ukraine during this critical time.
